On Thursday, May 25, 2017 Mia and Michael Lahti were honored by the Bristol County (Massachusetts) Bar Association at the Association’s annual dinner held at the Venus de Milo Restaurant in Swansea, Massachusetts.
During the evening, Mia and Michael received the 2017 Pro Bono Publico Award. This was given to them “In recognition of their outstanding contribution of legal services to ensure access to justice for poor and low income residents of Bristol County, Massachusetts.”
Mia and Michael have taken on a number of pro bono guardianship cases over the past several years, working in cooperation with South Coastal Counties Legal Services. By not charging for their time and services, Mia and Michael have been able to assist low income families obtain legal guardianships for incapacitated family members.
Congratulations to Mia and Michael for receiving the recognition they justly deserve in helping the less fortunate in their community.
